Tough victory for Jürgen Brähmer!

Easy win for Sebastian Zbik!

Defending his WBO world light heavyweight championship for the first time, Jürgen Brähmer went through hell in his hometown Schwerin, Germany, against unknown and untested Russian Dmitry Sukhotsky, who was declared a tomato can going into the fight.
Early in the fight, the 28-years old Sukhotsky proved that he is a worthy challenger. The champion was in control of the action but Sukhotsky displayed his talent and connected with a couple of good shots. However, he offered weaknesses at the same time. Weaknesses that might have cost him a world title and a huge upset win. The challenger lacked a good defense and upper-body movement. In the second, he got caught by a huge left hook by Brähmer, who begun to dominate the battle afterwards. Sukhotsky was still in the fight but unable to do anything to harm the defending beltholder. Brähmer suffered a small cut over his left eye due to an accidental headbutt in round six. No distraction to the 31-years old champion, however. The Siberian seemed to fade at this point as well.

Zbik remains WBC-Interim-Champ!

The second world title bout of the “Universum Champions Night” in Schwerin, Germany, saw a clear cut victory for WBC-interim middleweight champion Sebastian Zbik against formerly unbeaten Italian Emmanuele della Rosa.
